I'm putting up a picture of the girls costumes. They didn't actually wear them trick-or-treating because it turned out Natalie HATED her spaghetti costume that I spent a lot of time working on. The Speghetti costume in the picture is actually the second one I made because she hated the first one so much.
The twins made great meatballs.
My good mom moment
My good mom moment
Yeah for me!! I decided last night I need to stop letting my children control the schedule.
The twins started staying up till 10pm-11pm each night, and getting up at 5:30am. Then they would take 15-20 minute cat naps all through out the day. This has resulted in me being tired and crabby most of the time.
This morning, I made everyone stay awake. They had breakfast at 8am. At 9:40 the twins each got a bottle, and I laid them down in their beds at 10am. As soon as they were laying down, I took Natalie up stairs for her nap. It is now 10:40am, and all my children are sleeping. I'm so excited I can't sleep myself.
I realize this doesn't mean they'll be on my schedule from now one, but it is one small victory. I like to celerate ALL small victories.

amazing moments
I often have Allison and Katelyn on blankets on the floor playing. Every so often I see these moments where they'll notice each other and smile or start laughing. As they've gotten stronger they have started reaching out towards each other.
It is about the cutest thing to watch. I regularly try to get a picture of them laughing and smiling at each other, but I usually distract them jumping around to get my camera.
It's amazing watching them discover each other.
Celebrate fatigue
Celebrate fatigue
My sister is always telling me I need to celebrate sleep deprivation and fatigue. I need to see the humor in the situation whenever I do something ridicukous because I am tired.
Yesterday, I went to lunch with my mom and ordered coffee. Without even thinking I ripped the top off the sugar packet, dropped the paper into my coffee and poured the sugar onto the table.
What have you done out of pure exhaustion?
Cleaning Tip of the Year
Cleaning Tip of the Year
Okay, so the linolium floor in our kitchen and dinette area was looking it's age (about 11 years old). There was a well defined path were people walked. I have mopped the floor several times, especially recently, but it didn't help so I figired the floor was just discolored from age and use. Boy was I wrong!!!
Today, I was standing in the kitchen, probably trying to remember why I was in the kitchen, and there was a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sitting on the edge of the sink. Without giving it much thought, I grabbed the Eraser and rubbed a spot on the floor. It was like new linolium!! I was so excited I cleared out the room, got on my knees and started wiping the floor with the eraser. It worked so well and so quickly, it only took me about 20 minutes to clean the whole floor. I feel like I remodeled the kitchen.
It literally took me longer to clear out the chairs and stuff then it did to clean the floor. I can't tell you how excited I am.
